Twiddlegeek gets help!

Nerdblog Network member Twiddlegeek, managed by the unflappable Rirath, has added a crew member recently -- his own sister! How cool is it that Rirath has a sister as geeky as he is? I'd have to say that's fairly cool. Especially considering my own sister is a kindergarten teacher who needs my help figuring out how to turn on her computer.

Let's hope this means Twiddlegeek will suddenly become twice as popular!

TwiddleGeek joins the Nerdblog Network!

The Nerdblog Network proudly welcomes TwiddleGeek to the fold!

TwiddleGeek fills out the nerd network well with his focus on anime, as well as the usual interspersed gaming-related posts, of course. He is a geek, you know. Here's Rirath's description of an "anime blog":

In a typical anime blog, the blogger will record their thoughts on an anime as they watch it, episode per episode. These posts are usually accompanied by screenshots taken from the episode itself. It’s a very entertaining way to see what others think of new shows or old favorites, and a lot more personal than a basic review.
Sounds like fun! TwiddleGeek has really just started, having evolved from a previous blog Rirath managed. But he's already hard at work posting, and it can only get better from here.

Be sure to welcome the newest member of the network!

New design (in progress)

Weird! Just one day after launching, everything changes! The thing is, I had completely custom site code in place, and then first thing this morning, Blogger finally released the ability to combine custom template design with full HTML editing capability. So now, I'll be playing around with that since that's the direction I want to take the site anyway.

So, the main functionality of the site remains! Just the design will be periodically appearing wacky. Have no fear -- the Network members will continue to blog on their own.

Later!

Introducing the Nerdblog Network!

Welcome weary travelers to the bastion of nerd glory that is the Nerdblog Network!

What is the Nerdblog Network? Just a collection of some like-minded geeks blogging in unison. There are so many different "types" of nerd. Some nerds care about video games, some comic books. Some nerds watch scifi television, some only read fantasy books. Some nerd play only pen and paper Dungeons & Dragons, while some surf the internet all day long (okay, we all do that). The goal of the Nerdblog Network is to group together nerds with varying interests so that a wide range of geek wavelengths are available within a single, connected network of blogs.

Each member of the network will do their own blogging on their own sites. This site is simply the connecting point. The network is small, for now--only three!--but we will definitely be adding more members as time goes on and interest builds. Who are the members today? I'm glad you asked.

bapenguin.com: personal blog of Evil Avatar moderator Nicholas Puleo. Basically consists of interesting links to internet memes and commentary on the gaming news of the day.

nerdflood.com: personal blog of Nathaniel Payne. Includes commentary on internet news, social software, and web 2.0. Periodic spurts of gaming talk, webcomics, and Google.

the Nerdly Arts: the Emperor Nerd resides here, dispensing from on high comic book wisdom and commentary on scifi movie/television news. Sprinkled occasionally with gaming opinions and news.
